A horse farm wedding is very near and dear to my heart since I grew up on a small horse farm. Tom and Joanne held their wedding on the farm where Joanne keeps her horses.  It’s a very special place to her because it’s where her father taught her to ride many years ago.  Their family friend let them use the arena as a ceremony site with the most spectacular view of the area.

We had a rather large storm rolling in and you’ll see the clouds in the background in some of the images. It’s also why they decided on getting married under the tent in case the storm did rain on us.  Luckily it missed us and we made it to the reception venue just in time before the rain poured down.

Afterwards we took buses to the Carriage Club in Kansas City, MO.  The KU Jayhawk even stopped by for a bit to surprise everyone. Rock Chalk! 🙂
