Rain, rain go away
David and Kama were married at St. Andrews Golf Course in Overland Park, KS. St. Andrews Golf Course is a really lovely venue with access to take photos out on the golf course, by the pond, and maybe get to see some deer along the way. David and Kama’s ceremony was supposed to be outside overlooking the green but unfortunately mother nature had a normal Kansas April tantrum and decided to rain all day. Not the typical nice drizzle, nope mother nature was in a mood. It rained sideways literally all day. We never had a chance to go outside for photos except for a very brief first look before we ran back inside to dry off. Luckily though around 9:30pm mother nature decided to let up and gave us normal rain for the killer umbrella photo. That photo is probably one of my all time favorites and even landed me in the top 115 spots out of 37,000 entries. 🙂

This was one of the only two moment we had the entire day where we were able to go outside because of the rain.
We ran back inside right after this photo. All of us were getting soaked from the rain. I have rain covers for all of my gear though 🙂

We were hoping the rain would stop for an hour or so. But it had other plans. So we pivoted and had the ceremony in the reception area.

One of my favorite photos to date. Umbrellas, soft rain and a loving couple. Makes for a beautiful rain wedding photo.
